Gloria Jean Gambill

Gloria Jean Gambill, 67, of Sullivan and formerly of Danville passed away on Thursday August 27, 2015 at Breckenridge Commons. She was born in Sullivan on July 31, 1948 to Harold S Gambill and Kathryn Leach Gambill. Gloria was a 1966 graduate of Sullivan High School and a 1970 graduate of Indiana State University. She enjoyed hiking, horseback riding, country music and reading western historical novels. She was a member of the Clayton First Baptist Church; raised in the First Baptist Church of Sullivan and had been employed at American United Life Insurance, IUPUI both of Indianapolis and Sycamore Services in Danville. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her sisters Lela (Robert) Street of Sullivan, Kathy Gambill of Sullivan, Janis (William) Lynch of Ponte Verda Beach FL, step mother Nancy Gambill of Sullivan step grandmother Maurine Gambill of Sullivan, nieces Erin Sloan, Heather Dubree, Mindy Lytle, and other great nieces and nephews. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday September 8, 2015 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Revs. Wayne Unger and Bob Sampson officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at Center Ridge Cemetery. If friends so desire memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice or the churches where she had attended; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
