Greg Mitchell

Greg Mitchell, 69, of Sullivan, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Sullivan County Community Hospital. He was born in Greene County on October 5, 1949 to Henry Mitchell and Mercedes (Bond) Mitchell. He was a 1967 graduate of Linton Stockton High School and Went on to Vincennes University. Greg had worked in various jobs throughout his life such as American Latex, Coal Miner, Western and Southern Life; had sold Kettle corn and was an Auctioneer. He enjoyed fishing, auctions and his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Shadlee Lee Mitchell, and a sister Linda Jerrells.

Survivors include his wife Sherry (Cox) Mitchell, a son Derek Mitchell of Coal City, a brother Bud Mitchell of Brazil, a sister Jan (Les) Anderson of Linton, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 1:00p.m. on Tuesday December 4, 2018 with Rev. Tim Leuking officiating at Holmes Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be on Tuesday at 11:00a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at Center Ridge Cemetery.
