Hazeldene Tegarden

Hazeldene A. Tegarden, 86, of Sullivan, formerly of Marshfield, MO; passed away on Monday August, 29, 2016 at Breckenridge Assisted Living. She was born on June 6, 1930 in Wichita, KS to Michael Miller and Margaret Chapman Miller. She was a 1948 graduate of North High School in Wichita, a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Marshfield, MO and a member of the Women's Missionary unit. She was a loving mother, grandmother and a great grandmother. Preceding her in death were her parents, brother Michael Miller, and sister Erna Mae Goucher.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Charles Tegarden, a son Charles Tegarden Jr. and his wife Shirley of Neosho, MO, two daughters and their husbands Claudia (Jerry) Wilson of Sullivan, Julia (Jeffrey) Jordan of Newark, DE, four grandchildren Jill Nichols, Melissa Taulbee, Kyla Nichols, Jacob Jordan, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday September 1, 2016 at the Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Wayne Unger officiating. Visitation will be from noon until the time of services on Thursday. The family suggest that if friends so desire memorial contributions may be made to the Sullivan County Humane Shelter. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt Tabor Cemetery.
