Helen P Drake

Helen P Drake, 97, of Fairbanks passed away on Monday May 29, 2017 at Cobblestone Crossing Health Campus. She was born on September 15, 1919 in Sullivan County to Ray Phegley and Almeda (Carmichael) Phegley. Helen was a 1936 graduate of New Lebanon High School. On October, 11 1938 she married Herbert "Hub" Drake and together they had a family and worked on their farm and he preceded her in death in 2002. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Fairbanks and a member of the Kingsley United Methodist Church. Preceded in death was her son in-law Charles Jones.

Survivors include her daughters, Sandy Jones of Fairbanks, Mary Jean (Pat) Cregg of Columbus, grandchildren Michael Jones, Krista Jones, Andrew Cregg, Jeffery Cregg, great grandchildren Cole Jones, Carley Jones, Jessica Abolt, Jake Abolt, Mikayla Ross, Alyssa Cregg, Abbie Cregg, Ryder Cregg, great great grandchildren Logan Mol and Kacen Ross.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday June 1, 2017 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev Ron Riggs officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at Center Ridge Cemetery.
