Sullivan, Henry Everett Hoesman, 88, of Sullivan passed away at 7:56am on Saturday, November 7, 2015 in Miller's Merry Manor Nursing home. He was born January 9, 1927 in Sullivan County to Charles Augustus and Lula Belle Robertson Hoesman. Survivors include sons Everett "Gene" Hoesman (Mary Paige) of Cypress, TX, Donald Hoesman (Cheryl) of Terre Haute and Ross Hoesman (Holly) of Shelburn, a daughter Sophie Lasure (Keith) of Greenwood, SC, grandchildren Kim Butterfield (Tim) Bourbonnais, IL, Amanda Zink (Corey) Pocatello, ID, Audra Vogel (Adam) Kankakee, IL, Amy Hoesman of Pocatello, ID, Allison Hoesman (Mike Kimberlin) Bradley, IL, Brian Lasure (Patty) Waldron, IN, Chad Lasure (JoEllen) Fort Mill, SC, Clint Hoesman (Jamie) Riley, IN, Curt Hoesman (Elizabeth) of Terre Haute, and 19 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, his step-mother Goldie Mae Lawrence Hoesman, who raised him, and his wife Sophia Juanita Garrard Hoesman, sisters Vivian Curtis, Nellie Nash, Josephine Hubble, Margaret Hoesman, Helen Steele and Mary Andrews, brothers Charles, Russell, Estel, and Robert Hoesman. Henry was a lifelong farmer, clerk in US Postal Service, an Army Veteran, and a 1945 graduate of Union High School. There will be a private visitation for the family, and graveside services will be on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 1:00pm in Center Ridge Cemetery with Pastor Norman Santus officiating. Family suggest in lieu of flowers contributions might be made to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America. Holmes Memorial Chapel was entrusted with arrangements.
