Henry Ross Pounds Jr.

Henry Ross Pounds Jr. passed away peacefully in his home on 11/18/2024, surrounded by family.

He was born on 10/27/1951 to Henry Ross Pounds Sr. and Naomi Grace Pounds.

He was a 1969 graduate of Gerstmeyer. He served in the Air National Guard Reserves. He retired from International Paper and worked as a truck driver. Hank enjoyed golf cart cruising with his dog Rowdy, collecting goofy socks, bird watching, fishing, bingo and telling stories, some contained a "little truth" and spending time with family. Casino gambling highlighted when he hit the Jackpot in Vegas.

He is survived by 3 children, Shad Pounds (Terri), Tia Roessler (Jerry) and Amber Westerkamm. Brother, Rick Pounds (Jana). Sisters, Traci Wright (Buck) and Jody Baker (Jay). 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Ross Pounds Sr. and Naomi Grace Pounds. His son, Dirk Pounds, grandchild, Daric Pounds and great grandchild, Lennox Snapp.

He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm at Holmes Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Johnson Cemetery, Graysville IN.
