Howard Lee Deitz, 83, of Farmersburg passed away on Sunday July 3, 2016 at Millers Merry Manor in Sullivan. He was born in Gauly Bridge West Virginia on August 11, 1932 to Howard C. Deitz and Naomi Haynes Deitz. Howard was an Honorably Discharged Army Veteran, having served in the Korean War. He worked for Perini Corporation was a purchasing agent and became a Warehouse Superintendent, belonged to the Elks, the American legion and the Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife Mary Ann Melvin Deitz of Farmersburg, nephew George McCoppin, of Toledo OH, and a niece Mary Long of Dunbar WV.

Graveside services for Howard will be held on Friday July 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in New Harmony Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Blansett officiating. Holmes Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
