Jack Cole

July 8, 1939 — June 10, 2016

Jack M. Cole, 77, of Hymera, went home to be with the Lord at 3:55a.m. Friday, June 10, 2016, after a long courageous battle with several illnesses in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was born July 8, 1939, at home, to Patrick M. Cole and Mildred L. Chubb Cole.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, several beloved Uncles and Aunts; one grandson, Jeffery Alan Cole; his son, Jackie Alan Cole; one daughter, Katy Louise Cole-Tomey; the love of his life and soul mate, his wife, Jane Cole.

Survivors include three daughters, Janie (Bob) Maxwell, Melissa (Doug) Wade, Joanna (James) Turner, one daughter in-law, Judy Cole, one son in-law, John Tomey, eight grandchildren, Kimberly (Shane) Haseman, Andrew (Brooke) Turner, Bobby (Autumn) Maxwell, Matt Tomey, Abbigail Cole-Tomey, Christina Wade, Christopher Maxwell, and Codey Wade, four great grandchildren, Blake and Billy Haseman, Aliana Turner, and Olivia Maxwell, one sister, Ruth Swiger of Sullivan and several loved cousins, nieces and nephews.

Jack was a proud and loyal member of the Union Laborers Local #204 for over thirty six years. He was a very loving and compassionate husband, father, grandfather and friend. He lived a simple life and loved his family dearly. He was the rock of the family and very honest with his opinions. He is now in Heaven with the Lord and we all know he is already up there making phone calls and laying down the law.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at the Emmanuel Apostolic Church with Rev. James Quick officiating. Burial will be at the K of P Cemetery. Visitation is from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at the church. Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan was entrusted with the arrangements.
