James "Jim" Lynn Kennett

James “Jim” Lynn Kennett, 81, of Graysville, slipped into eternal rest on August 2, 2025 at The Waters of Sullivan. Jim was born on August 19, 1943 in Sullivan to the late James and Gladys Kennett. He was a graduate of the last graduating class of Graysville High School.

He married the late Marcella Haltom, on March 7,1964. Jim worked as an aviation mechanic for Ed Air Incorporated, and later enjoyed driving a truck for Ceres Solutions.

In his spare time he enjoyed watching NASCAR , rooting for Notre Dame football, woodworking and collecting Case knives. Most importantly, he was a devoted family man who took pride in being a Husband, Dad, Grampa, good friend and neighbor.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Marcella Kennett.

He leaves behind a son, Brent Kennett and wife, Sharon, along with a granddaughter, Gabrielle Best, and sister, Barbara Monk.

Cremation was chosen and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Holmes Memorial Chapel and staff were honored to assist the family with arrangements.
