James Mcguffie

James G McGuffie, 71, of Carlisle passed away on Saturday May 10, 2014. He was born in Scottsville KY on December 29, 1942 to Orbin and Lorin (Dalton) McGuffie. James was a 1960 graduate of George Washington High School in Indianapolis, was a grain inspector for the L & L Rail Road, was a member of the Harvest Temple Church of God in Sullivan and a member of River of Life Church in Bradenton FL, he loved to garden fish, travel and had a great love for his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years Sandy (Wright) McGuffie whom he married on June 3, 1961, a daughter Rhonda Socha and her husband Martin of Bradenton FL, six grandchildren, Brittany Gendreau, Robin Gendreau, Autumn Gendreau, Brianna Socha, Jr. Socha, Ryan Socha, two great grandchildren, Byrson Gendreau, Raylin Barrett and several sisters in-law and other family and friends.

Services will be at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday May 15, at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brian Barrett officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. until the time of services.
