Janalyn Snapp Lubbehusen

Janalyn Snapp Lubbehusen, 50, of Sullivan passed away on Sunday August 2, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Knox County on October 30, 1964 to Perry Snapp and Stephanie Hale Snapp. She was a 1983 graduate of Sullivan High School, 1987 graduate from ISU School of Education having received her Masters' Degree in special education and counseling. She was a member of the Sullivan Rainbow Girls, the Carlisle Order of Eastern Stars, a member of the Sullivan First Christian Church, a Cheerleader for ISU, gymnastics coach for Terre Haute North, Sullivan Junior Miss, Sullivan Athletic Hall of Fame, member of Alpha Omicron PI. She was a teacher at Bayview Elementary in Middletown NJ, Lee County Primary School in Albany GA, and Southwest School Corporation, Winstead Elementary NC. Preceded in death by her step- father Jim Sanders, and her grandparents.

Survivors include her father, Perry (Rose Ann) Snapp of Sullivan, her mother, Stephanie Hale Sanders and fiancée and life partner, Don Dubree of Sullivan, a son, Drew Lubbehusen of Sullivan, a daughter, Maddison Lubbehusen of Sims NC, a brother, JP Snapp Jr of Blair OK, a sister, Leah Dawn Hyde of Indianapolis, special aunt, Nancy Ridgway, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service to celebrate her life will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2015, at the First Christian Church in Sullivan with Revs Dale Wise and David Cox Officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3- 8:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Carlisle. The family suggest that if friends so desire memorial contributions may be made to the Sullivan County Humane Shelter. Services have been entrusted to Holmes Memorial Chapel.
