Janice Sue (Kearschner) Snoddy

Janice Sue Snoddy, 75 passed on to her eternal home on Monday, April 7, 2025 at The Waters of Sullivan. She began her journey in life on October 15,1949 in Terre Haute, Indiana. Born to Bruce Earl Sr. and Virginia Kearschner . She was a graduate of State High School. She married her loving husband Michael Snoddy on April 6, 1968. Together they raised their 2 children, enjoying life hand in hand for 57 years.

Janice was a longtime, devoted member of Sullivan First United Methodist Church.  Her gentle smile and compassionate heart were evident  to those she met along life's journey. Her mission in life was to be the caretaker of those she loved.  Her passion and devotion to each of them was unmatched.  She loved spoiling her children and grandchildren. She was a hands-on parent that was actively involved in her children’s activities.  Never missing a performance, while helping in any way needed to assure that things were ready.

Janice is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Bruce Earl Kearschner 2nd. and Dorothy Kearschner.

Those here to cherish her memory are her husband, Michael Snoddy; children, David Snoddy (Ann) and Jennifer Chopson (Darin); sister, Beverly Blair (Steve); sister in-law's, Eileen Kearschner and Sandra Blair ; grandchildren, Brian and Jason Billiard-Snoddy, Britt and Jordan Chopson, along with several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Visitation will be on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Holmes Memorial Chapel beginning at 11:00 am. until time of service at 1:00pm. with Rev. Dr. Cory Herrin officiating.
