Jason Compton, 38, of Hymera passed away in his residence on Thursday April 19, 2018 with his loving family by his side. He was born in Harrisburg IL on May 1, 1979 to Randy and Cathy (Trump) Compton. Jason was a 1997 graduate of North Central High School and was employed at Hoosier Energy. He was a member of the Hymera Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute; a former member of the Hymera Volunteer Fire Dept. EMT. Jason was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and teaching archery at Northeast School Corporation.
Survivors include his parents; wife Kim (Royals) Compton, a son Hunter Compton, a daughter Miranda Compton, brothers Kyle (Felisha) Compton, James (Kimberly) Compton, grandmother Charlotte Compton of Longview TX, several nieces, nephews, cousins, several special friends, aunts and uncles.
Services will be at 11:00a.m. on Monday April 23, 2018 at the Hymera Apostolic Church with Revs. Ben Wetherington, Norman Santus and Jimmy Quick officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Sunday from 4-8:00p.m. Burial will be at Knights of Pythius Cemetery. Holmes Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements. The family suggest that friends feel free to wear camo to honor Jason.
