Jay Thomas Dix 68, years young, passed onto eternal life on July 30, 2025, in the comfort of his home with his wife and family by his side. Jay was born in Terre Haute IN and grew up in Valparaiso IN. He graduated from Valparaiso High School, where he set track records , while also being a member of the football, basketball and wrestling teams. His love of sports followed him through his lifetime, he was an avid racing and sports fan.
He proudly served his Country, in the United States Air Force, serving as an Ammo Specialist from 1977-1979, where he was honorably discharged and was a disabled Veteran. He was a member of the Hymera American Legion Post # 298. Jay also worked as a carpenter, and long distance truck driver.
Jay is survived by his wife, Dana Morrison Dix; Mother, Alice Bailey Dix; brother Andy Dix and his sons, Jason Dix, and Scotty Killion; two daughters, Kristi Frank and Nancy Gaspar, along with 5 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Wayne Dix and Father in-law Phil Morrison. Also his Maternal and Paternal Grandparents.
Services to celebrate Jay's life will be at Homes Memorial Chapel on Saturday August 2,2025 with visitation from 11:00 am until time of service, at 1:00 pm. Reverend Adam Snyder will officiate. Sullivan Honor Guard will honor their fallen comrade, with burial following at Pleasant Green Cemetery.
