Jeannie E. (Turner) Grant

Jeannie Turner Grant,74 of Sullivan, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, January 9,2025 at the Waters of Sullivan. She was born in Olney, Illinois the daughter of Andrew and Juanita Higgins Turner.

Jeannie was employed with the Vincennes Executive Inn for many years. She attended Church on the Street. She enjoyed watching wildlife, sharing her love of the outdoors with her grandchildren, and taking walks around the lake. She shared a special interest in watching“Monarch Butterflies”. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. Her daughter lovingly called her “Shady Old Lady”. She enjoyed “Snousing”  a name Jeannie called going to Goodwill and Saint Vincent dePauls thrifting.  If you knew Jeannie you knew she was always willing to share her opinion with you, no matter the subject.

Jeannie is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Larry Grant, a son, Joey Grant, siblings, Joe Turner, Helen Wright and Mary Woodsmall.

She is survived by her children, Lonnie Grant, Mike Grant, Anita Clark (Bill), Misty Grant, brother, David Turner, grandchildren, Cody Lewis (Donna), Zachary Clark (Krystin), Sarah Morrison, Ciera Morrison, Daniel Grant, Aaron Grant and Curtis Grant, great-grandchildren, Wyatt Clark, Madden Clark,Kallie Clark, Arizona Clark, Tryslie Clark, along with several other great-grandchildren. Along with her second husband and friend, Tony Wheeler

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Holmes Memorial Chapel and staff were honored to assist the family with arrangements.
