Jeffery Wayne Hayes September 6, 1960 – August 30, 2025

Jeffery Wayne Hayes, 64, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away on August 30, 2025, surrounded by family and friends.

Born on September 6, 1960, Jeffery was the son of Charles and Nancy Hayes. He retired from the Indiana Laborers Union Local 204 and was known as someone who always spoke his mind—you always knew where you stood with Jeff. He enjoyed caring for and spoiling his two dogs-Maya and Penny, fishing with his friends and especially cherished the times he spent fishing with his parents.

Jeffery is survived by his brother, Steven (Suzanne)Hayes, nieces Amanda (Jake) Thatcher, Misty (Matt) Grimes, and Mindy Hayes; as well as his dear friends, Iris and Heather Young and Virginia Montgomery . He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Nancy Hayes, and his former wife, Anna Hayes.

Jeff will be remembered for his honesty, his love of the outdoors, and the deep connections he held with his friends.

A graveside memorial will be held at a later date.

Holmes Memorial Chapel and staff were honored, to assist the family with arrangements.
