Jennie Marie Norris

Jennie "Marie" Harkess Norris 93, of Shelburn passed away at 11:24pm, on Friday, September 9, 2016 in the Sullivan County Community Hospital. Marie was born August 8, 1923, in Shelburn, to James and Jane Carter Harkess. Surviors include her daughter Judy Norris, sons William Norris Jr., and John Norris, four grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband William Norris Sr., her parents, sister Masie Ring, and brothers Robert, James, and Thomas Harkess. She was a member of the Shelburn Methodist Church. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at Holmes Memorial Chapel from 4:00 to 8:00pm. Services for Marie will be Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at 1:00pm with Rev. Carolyn Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Little Flock Cemetery in Shelburn.
