Jeremiah James Vernelson, 17, of Sullivan, peacefully slipped into the Loving Arms of Jesus on Monday May 30, 2022 at his home. He was born in Gainesville FL, to Keith and Amy (Banther) Vernelson, Jeremiah was a student at Sullivan High School just completing his Junior year. He was a very avid sports fan having played on the football team, baseball team, loved to play golf, and basketball. Most important to Jeremiah was his church family at the Highpoint Community Church where he played the drums with the praise team.
Survivors include his mother and father Keith and Amy (Banther) Vernelson, his grandparents Ronald and Brenda Vernelson, Bill and Lorraine Banther, his siblings, Ryan Vernelson and his companion (Katelon), Samantha Vernelson and her companion Zach Brooks and his daughter Deavany, Kyle Vernelson, Karter Vernelson, Jeremiah’s girlfriend Emma Webb, his uncle Stephen (Angie) Vernelson, aunts Kelley(Troy) Cox, Amanda Banther, several cousins and other extended family.
Services for Jeremiah will be at the High Point Community Church, 502 N Court St. Sullivan IN 47882 at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday 4, 2022 with Pastor Dan Dyer and Trevis Pinkston officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Services on Saturday, all at the church. Burial will be at Center Ridge Cemetery following services. Holmes Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
