Jerry Denzil Collins

Jerry Denzil Collins, 85, of Sullivan passed peacefully into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 8,2025 at Providence Health Care, surrounded by family and friends. He began his life journey on August 13,1940 in Sullivan, to Charles Raymond and Hallie Marie Collins. He retired from Laborers Union #741 after many years of dedicated service. Jerry was a devoted Husband, Dad, Grandfather and Great-grandfather. His greatest joy in life were his grand and great grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, whittling and working with his hands in his spare time. He never met a stranger and was always quick with a smile.

Those preceding him are his parents, his loving wife of 60 years, Wanda Monroe Collins; daughter, Tonja Collins Hiatt; siblings, Ralph “Cork” Collins, Carl Collins, Raymond “Aus” Collins and James “Buck” Collins; great grandchildren, Joshua, Joseph, Abigail and Adalynne.

Those here to cherish his memory are his son, J.D. Collins; sister, Imogene Robertson; grandchildren, Amanda Reinhold (Conrad), Alicia Gardner (Ross), Logan Pearison (Beth), Juston Collins (Lacey) and Britni Rosebraugh (Kyle); son in-law, Brian Hiatt, along with 14 great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Services to celebrate a life well lived will be on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with visitation from 12:00 pm. until time of service at 2:00 pm. with Pastor Todd Gotshall officiating. Burial will follow at Center Ridge Cemetery.
