Jerry Lee "Lew" Hollingsworth

Jerry Lee (Lew) Hollingsworth, 45, passed away on June 4, 2024. He was born July 29, 1978 to Jerry and Karen Hollingsworth in Sullivan, Indiana.

Jerry met his husband John Michael P Casilla in 2018. He moved to Florida and experienced the ocean and many new things. Jerry and John were married on September 6, 2022. They loved taking care of their many animals, visiting family and friends, but most of all, just sharing every moment with one another.

Jerry was a member of several pigeon clubs namely Crossroads Pigeon Club, taking joy in raising, training, and racing his winning pigeons. His passion for the hobby started when he was 14 and created many friends over the years. He liked to hunt and fish, going hunting as often as he could with his father.

Jerry was a kind and loving man. He would never turn away an animal in need. He would care for the animal and make sure he found it a good home. He was always willing to help others in any way he could, creating care packages of clothes and food to donate to those in need around the holidays. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Preceding Jerry in death is his mom, who passed away in 2021. Jerry dearly missed his mom, and we are comforted knowing she was there to welcome him home with open arms. Also, preceding Jerry in death are his maternal grandparents Jesse and Vivian Fifer, paternal grandparents Otis and Mary Hollingsworth, several aunts and uncles.

Those left to cherish his memory are his Husband, Dad and Step-mom, Jerry and Tammy Hollingsworth, Sister and Brother-in-law, Kara Hollingsworth and George Kenmuir II, Brother, Troy Hollingsworth, Step-brother, Mason Grubbs, Father-in-Law Roberto Casilla, Sister-in-Law Michelle Garcia, Friend Ronald Deisher Jr, along with aunts, uncles and cousins.

Although our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that you are at peace in the arms of the Lord. We will surely miss you and we will see you again one day.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Holmes Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. with Pastor, Norman Santus officiating.  Jerry will be laid to rest at Center Ridge Cemetery.
