Jerry E. Walters, 76 of Sullivan moved into his Heavenly residence on Thursday November 14, 2024 at The Waters of Sullivan, with his loving sister, Marilyn at his side.  He was born on July 12, 1948 in Sullivan to Virgil and Mildred Akers Walters. He attended Sullivan High School.

Jerry loved the Lord and he was a faithful servant. He was a member of The Pentecost Church with Rev. Willis Ross in his younger days and later in life was a member of Sullivan Church of God. Jerry  had a  contagious smile that brightened the room. He enjoyed being social and visiting with those around him. He held his family dear and cherished each of them.

He was welcomed upon arrival at Heavens gates by his parents, a brother, Larry Walters, sister, Betty Brown (John) along with brother in-law Rex Johnson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Marilyn Johnson and Sandy Nethery (Don), sister in-law, Bonnie Walters along with several adored nieces and nephews and extended family.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Abundant Grace House of Prayer at 4:00 pm. with Troy Pearison officiating.

Holmes Memorial Chapel and staff were honored to assist the family with arrangements.
