Jo Ann Jewel

Jo Ann Jewell, 85, of Farmersburg passed away on Sunday February 22, 2015 at Cobblestone Health Campus. She was born in Vigo County on July 4, 1929 to Wayman and Francis Asbury Burdette. Jo Ann was a 1947 graduate of Farmersburg High School, and Union Hospital School of Nursing. She loved animals and her career as a nurse, she had attended the Farmersburg United Methodist Church. Preceding her in death was her husband William Bill Jewell.

Survivors include her son David Jewell of Las Vegas NV, her Aunt Helen Burdette, Uncle Tom Burdette, several neices, nephews and cousins.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday February 25, 2015 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jeff Blonsett officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11a.m. until the time of services at Holmes Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in West Lawn Cemetery in Farmersburg.
