Joann Courtney

Joann Emma Courtney, 86, passed away on Monday March 11, 2019 at Sullivan County Community Hospital. She was born on August 1, 1932 in Sullivan County to John Pinkerton and Sadie (Ebden) Pinkerton. Joann was a 1950 graduate of Sullivan High School, was employed at Tindall's Five and Dime and the Sullivan State Bank. She was a member of the Sullivan First Christian Church, loved to play bridge and sang in theChurch Choir.

Survivors include her husband Whitney Courtney whom she married on July 19, 2014, a step-son, Scott (Angela) Courtney, step grandchildren, Grant Courtney, Keenan Courtney, nieces Kaye (John) Patterson and Debbie (Gregory) Doyle.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday March 16, 2019 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev David Cox officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at Center Ridge Cemetery.
