Jody Lynn Ashba-Arnold

Jody Lynn Ashba-Arnold departed this life of 69 years, for her eternal home in Heaven, on December 2, 2025 at Union Hospital. She was surrounded by those she loved. She began her life journey on March 9,1956 in Sullivan, Indiana, joining a family of 14 children of the late Ernest and Dorothy Partlow Grimes. She was a 1974 graduate of Sullivan High School. She furthered her education at Lincoln Trail and Vincennes University, earning her LPN and RN degrees. She was a member of Abundant Grace house of Prayer.

Jody was a loving caring person, her heart was one of compassion for all she encountered. She was always willing to lend a hand to help anyone in need. She was an excellent Mom, Nanny, Sister and friend to all. In her profession she treated her patients as family, with love and compassion. Her love and memory will be eternally engraved into the hearts of those she loved.

Those awaiting her arrival are her parents; her husband, Charlie Ashba and second husband, Randy Arnold; son, Jay Arnold; brothers, Ernie, Ronnie, Rodger, Richard, Bobby and Mike Grimes along with sisters, Margie Arnett, Pansy Eslinger and Betty Ammerman.

Those here to cherish her memory are, her daughters, Christy Shelton (Jeremiah) and Sierra Reed (Brian); grandchildren, Adriana Shelton, Gabriel Shelton, Roni Arnold, Jayson Arnold and Troy Reed; siblings, Jerry Grimes (Marsha), Gayle Ashba (Bob) and Dee Ann Horst (Dale) along with several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

 The family invites you to join them in a time of remembrance on Friday, December 5,2025 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with visitation starting at 11:00 am. until time of service at 1:00 pm. with Pastor Troy Pearison officiating. She will be laid to rest following, at Dugger Cemetery.
