John Lewis Hopewell, 94, of Sullivan, passed away on Thursday December 13, 2018 at Millers Merry Manor. He was born on August 13, 1924 in Sullivan County to David Hopewell and Alexandria (Humpstead) Hopewell. He was a 1942 graduate of Shelburn High School. Preceding him in death are his wife Marjorie Mae McGinnis Hopewell and a daughter Karen Dale.
Survivors include his son John D (Patti) Hopewell, of Kalamazoo MI, grandchildren, Heather (Mick)Francis of Richland MI, and their daughter Riley Paige, Dr. Paige Hopewell-Ratnayake (Dr. Suhada Ratnayake) of Louisville KY, and their sons, Oliver Yasuea, Kona John, and Cass Tikiri.
Services will be at 12:00 Noon on Monday December 17, 2018 at Holmes Memorial chapel with Rev Norman Santus officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at Little Flock Cemetery.
