Joshua Travis Thompson, 27, of Shelburn passed away on June 26, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Vigo County on May 1, 1987 to Joe and Peggy (Ward) Thompson. He was involved with the Sullivan County 4-H and had been a Grand Champion in welding for many years. Preceding him in death are his grandfather Joe Earl Thompson, a cousin Eric Dodd a nephew David Wilkey.

Survivors are his parents Joe and Peggy Thompson of Shelburn, a special friend Candice Mills of Farmersburg, a son Alexander Thompson, brother Kyle Thompson of Bloomington, maternal grandmother Dorothy Walton Dwyer of Terre Haute, paternal grandmother Nita Thompson of Shelburn, several aunts and uncles and cousins.

Services for Josh will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday June 30, 2014 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Don Ransford officiating. Visitation will be on Monday 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place in Little Flock Cemetery. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sullivan County Humane Shelter, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
