Rev Joy F Rehmel

Rev. Joy F Rehmel, 93, of Shelburn, passed away on February 18, 2018 at his residence with his loving family by his side. Joy was born in Lewis IN on February 17, 1925 to Fred Rehmel and Elpha (Criss) Rehmel. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the Air Force and was a Minister for 62 years preaching the word for the Church of God. Preceding him in death are his wife Opal, sons Joe, Clarence, Leo, daughters, Norma Chapman, brothers Chuck, Don, Fred, and a sister Joann Mumma.

Surviving are his daughters Mercedes Rehmel of Shelburn, Patricia Johnson of Dalton GA, eighteen grandchildren twelve great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren.

Service will be at 1:00p.m Thursday February 22, 2018 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Revs. Ron Regan, Paul Jacobs, David Gosnell, and Brad Moore officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery in Farmersburg.
