Juanita (Turpen) Snyder

Juanita Turpen Snyder, 97, a devoted loving wife, mother, granny and great-granny, of Sullivan slipped softly into the arms of Jesus at her home on Saturday November 25, 2023.  She was born in Sullivan on November 24,1926 to Doral and LuEmma Brown Turpen.  June 4,1942. Juanita married her lifetime love Ernie Snyder. They celebrated 55 years together. Juanita was a loving homemaker raising their 3 children. She was also a part of the Mary Sherman Hospital family as a CNA for over 30 years. Juanita was a member of the First Assembly of God in Sullivan, where she was a devoted prayer warrior.  Her family was her world, she enjoyed spending time with them, along with her friends. Juanita also volunteered for Our Fathers Arms, where she enjoyed helping others and showing the love of Christ with her sweet warm smile and spoken kind words to all she met.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband Ernie; a son, Scott Snyder; a daughter, Donna Snyder Smith; sisters, Connie Turpen and Beulah Vandergriff and brother Ron McCammon.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Connie (Tom) Reed along with 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 4 great great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and other family members.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
