Karen Ann Nash

Karen Ann Klutey Nash, 68 of Sullivan, passed into eternal rest in the comfort of her home, on Sunday, August 3, 2025. Karen began her journey in life on November 16, 1956 in Phoenix Arizona, the daughter of the late, George Ervin and Belva Weller Klutey. She was a 1974 graduate of Sullivan High School. She retired from years of dedicated service to Peabody Coal Company .

Karen was a gracious Wife, Mother, Sister and Memaw. Her devotion, love and commitment to her family were unmatched. In her spare time she enjoyed puzzles, reading and watching documentaries, she was an avid learner. She had a deep passion for animals and was a past member of the Quarter Horse Association, where she held office of Chairperson. She and her late husband enjoyed raising quarter horses. Most important to her were her children and grandchildren. Her memory will forever be etched in each of their hearts.

She was preceded by her parents, and her loving husband, Michael Nash.

Those here to cherish her memory are her children, Randy Lamb, and wife Elle, Teri Lamb, Shelly Newton, and husband Wally, Bradley Nash, and wife Jackie and Elizabeth Thrasher, and husband Kenny; brother, Eric Klutey, and wife Melissa; grandchildren, Owen Lamb and wife, Lexi, Mackenzie Hoffner and husband Aaron, Conner Simmons, Taylor Bailey and husband Blake, Kaleb Thrasher and wife Abbie, and Bailey Nash and wife, Cheyenne ; 3 great-grandchildren, along with extended family and friends.

A celebration of Karen's life will be held at a later date.

Holmes Memorial Chapel and staff were honored to assist the family with arrangements.
