Karen Dale

Karen Dale, 72, of Shelburn passed away peacefully at Miller's Merry Manor on September 17, 2016. She was born on June 19, 1944 in Sullivan to John L. and Marjorie Mae McGinnis Hopewell. Karen loved to spend time with her family, play the piano and praise the Lord through song.

Karen is survived by her father, brother, John Hopewell (Patti) of Kalamazoo Michigan, two nieces, Heather Francis (Mick), Dr. Paige Hopewell-Ratnayake (Suhada), one great niece, Riley Paige Francis, and three great nephews, twins; Kona John and Cass Trikiri, and Oliver Yasuda.

She is preceded in death by her mother, and husband, Larry Dale.

Services for Karen will be on Monday, September 19, 2016 at Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Norman Santus officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. A private burial will take place on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Little Flock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made to Cass United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home. Arrangements were entrusted to Holmes Memorial Chapel.
