Kegan Ennen

Kegan Timothy Ennen, 16, tragically died December 28, 2018, in an auto accident, along with two friends, while on the way to an air soft war that had been planned for weeks.

He was born December 5, 2002 to Christopher and Tiffany (Weber) Ennen.

Survivors include his parents, two sisters Emily and Sydney Ennen, grandparents Jamie Hughes and Doug Hughes, Terre Haute, Nick Weber and Joy Weber, Linton, great grandfather, Jim Hunt, Terre Haute, aunts Theresa Hunt, Terre Haute, Julie Bishop, California, Anna Osterbur, Champaign, IL, Traci Ennen, Terre Haute, uncles, Kyle Ennen, Terre Haute, Carl Weber, Linton, Dan Kelsey, Cincinnati, cousins Rylie and Alexis, girlfriend Abbie Pirtle, Sullivan, and Bob McMahan, special family friend.

Kegan was predeceased in death by his grandfather, Timothy Ennen, grandmother, Lou Ann Weber, great grandmothers, Jeannie Hunt, Majorie Kelsey, and Hedgie Weber.

Kegan was a sophomore at North Central High School, Farmersburg, where he was loved by all. He was in the top ten in his class, while taking all accelerated courses. He would text his mom immediately if he had a grade slip because he knew she would be on it.

He loved his family and couldn't wait for family cookouts and holidays. He especially loved his sisters and sheltered them fiercely, but more so, he loved flicking them on the heads.

He was a beast, in his own words, at everything, and he was right. Everything came easy to Kegan. He was the person that you would be jealous of, but he was too kind to let you feel it.

He was one of the captains of the North Central Thunderbird football team as only a sophomore. He helped take the team to the first ever Sullivan County Sectional Championship. On the field, he stepped into any position requested by his Coach and succeeded naturally in each one. He was the only sophomore to receive a position on the All County Football team for 2018.

He loved football more than anything and had a talent and drive that others can only dream about. He was the one to watch in the upcoming two years. He couldn't wait for every season to start and was devastated when every season ended. Everyone loved watching him on that field, and every coach loved having him on the team. He was destined for greater.

Services will be held at Holmes Memorial Chapel on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 11:00m a.m. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Burial will be at West Lawn cemetery in Farmersburg.

Contributions may be made to the First Financial Bank for his sister's college fund.
