Ladeena Lynn (Nolan) Walters, of Sullivan, was reunited with her loving son, Sonny, after many years of separation, on August 21, 2025. She began her life journey on November 2, 1945 in Sullivan County, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Wyoma Tomey Nolan. She was a 1963 graduate of Sullivan High School.
Ladeena, was a caregiver by nature, she loved and cared for others her entire lifetime. She was direct support to the residents of Sullivan County Home, after its closing she was a home health care direct support assistant, to the homebound. Each one she cared for as they were her own family. Her family circle was large and she loved in abundance each and everyone in her own special way. She was a loving and caring Mother, Mimi and Great-Mimi.
She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with the bonus grandchildren she acquired along the way. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, watching documentaries and murder mysteries. Her all time favorites were ‘horror” movies. The great grands were well versed on the Micheal Myers series, thanks to Mimi ! When she was able, she never missed a sporting event. After she was unable to attend in person, you would find her watching the Friday night lights, on facebook, cheering on her favorite player and football team. Her enthusiasm and love were unmatched by her devotion. They were her world.
She is preceded by her parents; son, Wayne Lloyd Walters (Sonny); siblings, Tom Nolan and Ravahna Bushell (John), along with a great-grandchild, Isla Nicole Tomlin.
Those to cherish her memory are her children, Wiley Wesley Walters III (Angie), Tamara Lynn Walters-Davis (James) and Bruce Allen Walters (Candee); grandchildren, Jessica Lynn Carlson (Jeffrey), Amanda Chavez (Alex), Cody Wilson (Mckenzie), ReBecca Reynolds (Chad), Corey Walters, Jackliyn Anglin (Elijah Runge), Sara Walters, Caleb Tomlin and Kaylee Tomlin; great-grandchildren, Hyli (Dawson), Peyton (Destiny), Gavin, Addilynn, Annissa, Audrey, William Michael (Billy), Laya, A’Melody, Arya, Kennedy, Lincoln, Jayden, Ronan, Parker, Carter, Ava, Brantley, Waylon, Kayson, Taelyn and Rylan, along with “the love of her life” Richard Craig and extended family and friends.
Abiding with Ladeena’s wishes there will be no service. Holmes Memorial Chapel and staff were honored to assist the family with arrangements.
