Larry Michael "Mike" Wible

Larry Michael “Mike” Wible, 69, of Stony Point, North Carolina, formerly of Sullivan, Indiana, peacefully entered into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, September 28, 2024, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina surrounded by his loving family.  Mike was born on August 17, 1955 in Sullivan, Indiana to Larry D. and Judith “Judy” Johnson Wible.

Mike grew up in Merom, Indiana and graduated from Sullivan High School in 1973.  He married the love of his life, Polly Jo Ridge, on June 17, 1977.  He was a lifetime member of IUOE Local 841 and retired in 2012.  After retiring, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He was an active member of Crossroads Christian Church in Sullivan, IN.  He enjoyed his time with his Wednesday morning men’s Bible study group.  He also enjoyed reading books and studying the Bible.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Jerome and Barbara “Barb” Ridge; special uncles, Robert “Bob” Johnson and Jerry Meier; and his pet companions, Callie & Buddy.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 47 years, Polly; his children: Tara Schaefer (Mike), Tori Goodman (Ronnie), and Kaden Wible; his grandchildren: Claire Schaefer, Madelyn Schaefer, Avery Schaefer, Mason Goodman and Emma Goodman; his sister: Anita Tindall (Ron); brother-in-law: Randy Ridge (Missy); sister-in-laws: Jana Hobbs (Steve) and Amy Bell (Mike); special aunts: Sharon “Kay” Meier and Judy Meier; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and his beloved dogs, Lizzy & Ella.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Holmes Memorial Chapel on Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 2 PM to 6 PM.  Funeral services will be at 11 AM, Monday, October 7, 2024, with Eddie Hammond officiating.  Burial will follow in Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan, Indiana.
