Laura Belle Wallace

Laura Belle Wallace, 93, of Shelburn, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Sullivan County Community Hospital. She was born in Shelburn on March 7, 1925 to Henry and Laura (Haupt) Wallace. She was a 1943 graduate from Shelburn High School and a 1947 graduate of Indiana State Teachers College. She was a retired teacher from the North Central High School, and a teacher at the Hymera High School, for a total of 42 years. She was on the Sullivan County Library Board, and Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother William Henry Wallace, and survived by cousins and extended family.

Services will be at 3:00 p.m. on December 28, 2018 at the Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Shelburn with Revs. Don Ransford and Jeff Blansett officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery in Farmersburg. Holmes Memorial Chapel has ben entrusted with arrangements. The family suggests that if friends so desire donations may be made to the church, envelopes will be available at the church.
