Lee Eugene Jennings, 88, of Sebring Florida, and formerly of Sullivan, Indiana, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 13, 2014. Lee was born in Sullivan County on November 7, 1925 to Raymond and Gertie Sluder Jennings. Lee served his country during WWII in the third Marine Division on Guam and Iwo Jima. He served with the 1st Marine Division in China and was discharged as a corporal in May of 1946. He retired in 1986 from being a real estate broker. In retirement he and his wife Nancy, travelled extensively in their motorhome. Lee was a member of the Sullivan Elks, Sullivan VFW, Sullivan American Legion and the Third Marine Division Association. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Nancy Carter Jennings. Survivors include his daughter Judy Ruziecki of Tehachapi CA, a son Mark Jennings of Sebring FL, six grandchildren, Melyssa Banda of Tehachapi CA, Melynee Gallegos of Tehachapi CA, Mandy Fuller of San Pedro CA, Mary Krajeskii of Tehachapi CA, Shandon Hurtado, John Davis of Tehachapi CA, and thirteen great grandchildren. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday May 24, 2014 in West Lawn Cemetery in Farmersburg. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services Military rites will be given by the Hymera, Shelburn, Sullivan American Legions and the Sullivan VFW. Lodge services by the Sullivan Elks Lodge 911. Arrangements have been entrusted to Holmes Memorial Chapel.
