Leila Shipley

Leila Shipley, 96, formerly of Hymera, went home to be with the Lord from her daughters home at 7:30am on December 24, 2013. She was born February 7, 1917 in Sullivan County to Orville O'Dell and Eva May Leonard O'Dell. Leila was preceded in death by her parents, husband Manford Shipley in 2000, and a son Darryl Shipley in 1995. Survivors include a daughter Cheryl Rissler (Neil), granddaughters Cary Flora (Mark), Michelle Linton (Brad), Paige Timberman, Kyra Stemler (David), step-grandchildren Bret Rissler (Alyssa), Melissa DeHart (Chris) and seventeen great-grandchildren. She had been a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Hymera for many years. Services will 2:00pm on Friday, December 27, 2013, at the Holmes Memorial Chapel, in Sullivan, Indiana with Pastor Norman Santus officiating. Visitation will from 11:00am until time of service. Interment will follow in Knight of Pythius Cemetery in Hymera, IN.,
