Linda L. Pierce, of Sullivan, answered the sweet call of Jesus, on February 26, 2026, with those she loved at her side. Linda began her life journey on February 1,1936, in Sullivan, the daughter of the late Herschel and Veva Pirtle. She was a 1954 graduate of Sullivan High School. She married the love of her life Bill R. Pierce on June 27, 1954. Together they enjoyed raising their children, Susan and the late Larry Pierce. They were owner / operators of Pierce Gas Service Inc. in Sullivan, until retirement in 1981.

She was a devoted member of Sullivan First Baptist Church for many years where she sang in the choir and valued the fellowship of her church family. Linda had a passion for gardening and was known for her beautiful flower gardens. She was a gifted pianist, who enjoyed filling their home with music.

Her kind heart and loving spirit was evident to all who knew her. Linda was a devoted Mother, Wife, Grandma and Sister. She cherished time spent with family, her warm smile could brighten a room and fill it with peace. While she is gone from this life, she has left endless memories to comfort those who cherished her.

Those awaiting her Heavenly arrival were her parents, and her husband, Bill R. Pierce, along with her son, Larry Ray Pierce.

Those here to cherish her memory are her daughter, Susan Kay and Jeff Abrams, daughter in-law, Sherrie Pierce, granddaughter, Ashley and Kyle Shorter, a sister, Ramona and Jerry Baker, one great grandchild, Everly. Along with several nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Graveside service will be on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at Holmes Memorial Chapel at 11:00 am. with Minister Mike Miller officiating . Burial will follow at Center Ridge Cemetery.
