Linda Rea

Linda Eileen Rea, 78 of Sullivan slipped peacefully into Jesus’s arms, on Tuesday December 19, 2023 at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born on July 18, 1945 to Leibert “Tate” and Frances (Alexander) Orr in Sullivan IN. She married her partner in Christ, Everett “Bud” Rea, June 25, 1965. Who preceded her in death, May of 2023.

Linda was a 1964 Sullivan High School graduate. Linda and Bud became faithful followers of Christ, building their firm foundation while attending Sullivan First Pentecostal Church, with Rev. Brother Ross.

Linda was well known in the community for her volunteer service of 28 years at Our Father’s Arms in Sullivan. Where she enjoyed helping people and extending the hand of Jesus. Her faith and Family were her life’s greatest treasures.

Linda is survived by her brother Robert “Bob” and sister in law Patty Orr; sister Beck Woolard. Her daughter Lisa and Gene Houser; grandchildren Samantha and Andrew Woroszylo, Jessica and Anthoney Woroszylo, Natalie Houser, Nathan Houser, and Katlyn Houser; great grandchildren, Anafaye, Oliver, Oxford, and Noah; along with many nieces and nephews. Also dear friends that were chosen family, Earlene Stewart, her walking partner of 30 years and Carolyn Pierce, her sister in Christ. Who’s lives she loved and touched deeply.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents: Leibert and Francis Orr, her husband: Everett Rea. A Son, Brian Rea; sister, Patricia Winkler; brothers, Micheal, David, Richard and Jerry Orr.

Graveside services will be 1:00 pm. on Friday, December 29, 2023 at Center Ridge cemetery with Chaplain Steve Blaydes officiating. Holmes Memorial Chapel were entrusted with the arrangements.
