Lloyd E. Wilkins, 85, of Shelburn, passed on to eternal life on Friday December 20, 2024, at Cobblestone Crossing in Terre Haute. He was born in Sullivan County on April 11, 1939, to William Mitton Wilkins and Blanche Jennings Wilkins.
Lloyd had retired from Alcan as a machinist after 27 years of service. He learned toolmaking at Hagen Manufacturing in Shelburn. He was an Army Veteran, having served in the Vietnam era, a member of the Shelburn American Legion and a 50-year member of the Shelburn Masonic Lodge 369, Past Master, a 2002 Rider Education Ambassador of the Goldwing Road Riders Association.
Survivors include the love of his life Patty Louise (Alumbaugh) Wilkins, whom he married on February 14, 1960, his children, Marty (Jackie) Wilkins, Jeff (Lowen) Wilkins, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins.
Grandchildren – Wyatt Wilkins, Seth (Stephanie) Wilkins, Jade (Alex) Foltz. Preceded in death Damon Wilkins.
Step-Grandchildren – Keith Schwartz, Ashlee Schwartz
Great Grandchildren – Lane Wilkins, Alexis Foltz, Iris Wilkins
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday December 23, 2024, at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Pastor Barny Lafolotte officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Military Honors will be given by the Sullivan County Honor Guard. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery in Farmersburg.
