Margaret Irene Wells, 102, of Hymera, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026 at her residence with her family by her side. She was born in Hymera on September 14, 1923 to Albert Austin and Hallie Myrtle Gard. Margaret was a 1941 graduate of Hymera High School. She worked as a beautician and was a member of the Hymera Bethel United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Earl Wells.

Survivors are her son’s, Ronald Wells, Donald (Nancy) Wells and daughter, Judith (Michael) Gaskins, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.

Services will be at 2:00pm. on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Minister Norman Santus officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00pm. until the time of services. Burial will be at Knights of Pythius Cemetery, Hymera, Indiana.
