Margie Bogard, 80, of Sullivan passed away on Friday November 15, 2013 at Sullivan County Community Hospital. She was born on November 6, 1933 in Sullivan County to Herman and Margaret Emily (Cafin) Cox. Margie was a 1951 graduate of Sullivan High School, a Homemaker and worked for Indiana Bell Telephone, and a member of The First Christian Church of Sullivan. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Evert Bogard, four brothers Roy Cox, Hubert Cox, James Borders, John Cox, two sisters, Elizabeth Weaver, and Florence Shelton. Survivors include three sons John Bogard (Ginny) of Merom, David Bogard (Sue) of Denver CO, Greg Cox (Alice) of Sullivan, six daughters Martha Golish (Jim) of Shelburn, Nina Bogard of Sullivan, Kim Hamilton (Randy) of Sullivan, Emily Bogard of Washington St., Elizabeth Parrish of Indianapolis, Melinda Bogard of Indianapolis, a sister Maxine Hiatt of Sullivan, a special grandson whom she raised Kaleb Westbrook of Sullivan several grandchildren and great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Services will be 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday November 19, 2013 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Pastor Michael Jackson officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at Good Hope Cemetery. If friend so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetic Association, envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
