Marilyn Jo Cagle

Marilyn Jo Fulford Cagle, 89, of Shelburn IN, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Saturday April 25, 2026 at 6:26 am. She was born February 3, 1937 to Daryle Paul Fulford Senior and Esther Clara Darnell Fulford.

Marilyn accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at 12 years old in 1949 and faithfully served into death. She taught Sunday School for 75 years starting at age 14 and retiring at age 89. She was a member of Shiloh Assembly of God Church.

Marilyn graduated Garfield High School in 1954, Indiana State University in 1970 with Bachelor of Science in Early Learning Education, and Indiana State University in 1972 with Master of Arts in Early Learning Education. She taught 26 years at Hymera Elementary School from February 1970 to May 1996.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Eugene Cagle, her parents and one granddaughter, Lacy Gene Cagle. She is survived by three sons, Bruce Alan Cagle (Nina Lorene), Brian Eugene Cagle (Mary), and Brad Joe (Tina) and one daughter, Susan Elaine Cagle Baker (Clark). Also, surviving are 11 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild with one due in June.

Visitation will be at Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan IN on Friday May 1, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Services will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with Pastor Matt Morgan officiating. Gravesite services will be at Knight of Pythias Cemetary in Hymera IN from 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm with Pastor Dick Smith officiating.
