Marjorie Ellen Padgett

Marjorie Ellen Sparks Padgett, 86, of Sullivan passed away on Wednesday September 2, 2015 at Millers Merry Manor. She was born in Sullivan County on May 21, 1929 to Roy and Catherine "Katy" (Smith) Sparks. She was a 1948 graduate of Merom High School, a homemaker, a member of the First Baptist Church of Sullivan where she was very involved and a member of the Sullivan American Legion Aux. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband of 64 years Leland "Pat" Padgett, brothers Charles, Sylvester, Kenneth, Howard Sparks, and a sister Freda Hoesman. Survivors include her daughter Janna Beth LeMay of Sullivan, two sons Jay K (Tammie) Padgett of Graysville Jon M (Jennifer) Padgett of Sullivan, five grandchildren Kris (Courtney) Walters of Sullivan, Zak Padgett of Casey IL, Ariana Padgett, Joshua Padgett, of Graysville Auston Padgett of Sullivan and two great grandchild Landon Walters of Sullivan and Zaiden Padgett of Casey IL. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday September 5, 2015 at Holmes Memorial chapel with Rev Ron Riggs officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-8:00 p.m. Burial will be at Center Ridge Cemetery.
