Mary Rose Moore

Mary Rose Moore, 77, of Sullivan passed way in Terre Haute Regional Hospital 10:25pm Tuesday, December 16, 2014. She was born January 24,m 1937 in Georgetown, IL to Della Mae Chestnut Reagan and Leo Bonard Reagan Sr. She attended grade school at Chrisman, IL., 3 years of high in Bisbee, AZ., and graduated 1955 from Chaffey High School in Ontario, CA. Mary Rose Reagan married the love of her life, Burlin Moore on January 22, 1960, in Upland, Ca. She worked as a telephone operator at Pacific Telephone and Telegraph in Ponoma CA. In 1969 they moved to Sullivan, IN., and in 1978 she began working at Mary Sherman Hospital in the respiratory therapy dept., for 5 years. She then went to work at the Sullivan News Stand for 17 years retiring in 1999. Mary Rose was a member of the Sullivan Area Art Guild for 20 years serving as secretary for many of those years. She was an accomplished oil painter, a member of the Sullivan Historical Society as well. She loved her family and was an avid genealogy researcher who passed that love on to her loved ones. Mary Rose was a devout Christian lady being a long time member of the Independent Baptist and attended the Wabash Valley Community Church. Preceding her in death were her parents, four brothers James, Leo Thomas, John David, and William Frederick Reagan, and a sister Susan Kay Bellows, Survivers include her husband Burlin Moore, two daughters Becky (Keith) Gish of Evansville and Sharon (Terry) Smith of Graysville, one son Gordon (Tracy) of Ontario, CA., a sister June Bray of Ontario Ca, nine grandchildren Adam Taylor, Jason Taylor, Jodi Smith Goings, Brandy Repsher, Nicole Smith, Tony Moore, Josh Smith, Breanna Smith Trimble, Heidi Gish Bennett, ten great-grandchildren Kaitlin Taylor, Kylie Taylor, Wyatt Taylor, Carter Goings, Conner Taylor, Gracelynn Rose Taylor, Maci Goings, Delainey Smith, Bentley Smith, Tucker Smith, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mary Rose will be Monday, December 22, 2014 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan. Services will be Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 1:00pm with Rev.
