Mary Jane Phegley, 82, of Carlisle, passed away on Sunday September 27, 2015 at Bridge Pointe Health Campus in Vincennes. She was born in Sullivan County on January 26, 1933 to Roy and Axi (Lemon) McCammon. She was a 1951 graduate of Carlisle High School, married Richard Lee Phegley on June 12, 1954 and became a homemaker. She was a cheerleader in high school, a 50 year member of the Eastern Star, a member of the Shaker Prairie Church for 37 years, Elks Aux, participated in open class 4-H Fair for several years, winning several ribbons, loved her Longaberger Baskets and Candlewick Jewelry. She was devoted to her grateful children, grandchildren, and daughter in-law with all of her heart. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandchild, her sister, Katherine Louise Wible, brothers James Maxwell McCammon, Walter McCammon, brother in-law J Olan Wible, and a sister in-law Martha McCammon.

Survivors are her son Randall (Carla) Phegley of Sandborn, her daughter Katherine Phegley of Vincennes two grandchildren Lanessa Phegley and her Fiancé Mathew Mullens of Sandborn, Jason Phegley of Sandborn, sister in-law June McCammon of Sullivan along with several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11 am on Friday October 2, 2015 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Kirk Langston and Pastor Carl Williams Officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-7:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Odd Fellows Cemetery.
