Melba Fern Haythorne, 89, of Carlisle, formerly of Graysville, entered the gates of heaven on Wednesday March 15, 2017 with her loving family and friends by her side. She was born in Hymera on June 30, 1927 to Robert and Amy (Snyder) Lucas. She was a 1945 graduate of Hymera High School, was a member of the Carlisle Christian Church, and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother; was retired from Mary Sherman Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Winford 2008, son Darrell Haythorne, sister Geneva Van Sant, brohers Danny Lucas, Raymond Lucas, Lester Baker, and a great grandson RJ Brown
Survivors include her son Robert Haythorne of Sullivan, daughters, Brenda Ridge Carlisle, Joyce Harvey, Oaktown, grandchildren Elizabeth Brown, Sullivan, David (Lisa) McCammon, Oak Harbor WA, Stacy (Doug) Brooks, Sullivan, Rodney Hood, Webb City MO, Randy (Becca) Dilger, Greg Dilger both of Scottsburg IN, Lisa (Ed) Huddleston, Oaktown, John (Della) Ridge, Carlisle, twenty one greatgrandchildren, fifteen great great grandchildren and other nieces, nephews relatives and friends.
Services will be at 1:00p.m. on Monday March 20, 2017 at the Carlisle Christian Church with Bro Bill Sam Phegley officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services, Burial will take place at Pogue Cemetery.
