Milton Gaskins

Milton I Gaskins, 82, passed away on Sunday June 23, 2019 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born in Sullivan County on November 29, 1936, to Ralph Maynard Gaskins and Daisy Geneva (Kirkham) Gaskins. He was a 1954 graduate of Pimento High School and had retired from the Railroad, and was an avid deer hunter. Preceding him in death are his sister Jeanette Benson and a nephew Rex Rodgers.

Survivors include his wife Loena (Southwood) Gaskins of 59 yeas whom he married on August 21, 1960, sons David (Debbie) Gaskins, Michael (Judy) Gaskins, Kevin Gaskins, daughters, Lisa (John) Wisehart, Karen Creek, a brother Steve (Margaret) Gaskins, a sister Mary (Sam) Rodgers, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.

Services to celebrate his life will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday June 29, 2019 at Westlawn Cemetery in Farmersburg with Rev. Jeff Blanset officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Holmes Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements. The family suggest that if friend so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Farmersburg Friends of the Park, PO Box 244 Farmersburg IN, 47850, envelopes will be available at the visitation.
