Myrna (Mayes) Moses

Myrna Mayes Moses, 86, of Sullivan, formerly of Shelburn passed into eternal rest on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Sullivan County Community Hospital, with her loving family at her side. She was born in Sullivan County on October 01, 1937 to Joseph and Janey Santus Mayes.

Myrna was a Shelburn High School Graduate that married her high school sweetheart,  Delee Moses on October 8,1954. They shared  68 together years before his death in 2023. Together they raised 3 children. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and touched many extended family and friends with her kindness and loving heart.

She was a well known hairdresser for 20 plus years in the Shelburn area.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Delee; son, Kevin Moses, November 19, 1986 ;  son in-law, Scott Cox and sister, Barbara Myers.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Gaylee (Bob) Brewer, Teresa Cox; sister, Shirley Sluder; brother, Gene Mayes; grandchildren, Jaime (Shane), Carey (Barry), Jeremy (Shauna) and Stephanie (Josh), along with 13 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and many extended family and friends.

Graveside services for family and close friend’s will be at 1:00 pm. Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Little Flock Cemetery, Shelburn, IN. With Minister Norman Santus officiating.
