Myron Bartlett of Terre Haute, IN went to be with the Lord on May 9, 2025. He was born on September 2, 1950, in Waukegan, IL to Lucille Andersen Villiard and was raised by her and his step-father James “Jim” Villiard.
Myron graduated from Waukegan Township High School in 1968. He met his wife, Donna Robbins, while they were both attending Lincoln Christian College where he earned a bachelor’s degree in divinity. Myron and Donna were wed in August of 1971. They lived in Peoria, Marion and Jacksonville, IL while he worked for International Harvester Credit Corp. They Moved to Sullivan County in 1978 when Myron started his career selling International Harvester and then Case-IH farm equipment in Terre Haute, IN. During this time, he returned to college and earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing. After more than 30 years in sales, Myron retired from selling farm equipment and started a second career at First Christian Church in Sullivan as Director of Outreach and Involvement until he retired for the second time in 2023. Myron loved the Lord and enjoyed serving in the church, teaching Sunday School classes for more than three decades, serving as a deacon and an elder and planning and engaging in outreach events within the community. He also enjoyed playing sports including football, baseball and bowling and watching the Chicago Bears and Cubs.
Myron was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Donna, his sons Daniel (Lorinda) of Zionsville, IN and Jared (Karla) of Spencer, IN and his grandsons Joel, Wade and Cody as well as his sisters Alayne Bartlett of Sullivan, IN and Cheryl (Greg) Ehlers of Mayfield, KY.
Services to celebrate his life will be on Friday May 16, 2025, at the Sullivan First Christian Church at 105 N Broad Street, Sullivan IN 47882. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Christian Church in Sullivan, IN. Holmes Memorial Chapel was honored to serve the family during this difficult time.
