Billy W. Smith, 59, of Carlisle died at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2004 in Paxton. He was born January 26, 1945 in Terre Haute to Howard Smith and Erma McClure Smith. He was a truck driver for Dennis Booher Trucking. He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife Brenda Smith of Carlisle, his mother of Aurora, CO, two step daughters Tracy Bridgewater and Tina Deardroff both of Terre Haute, four brothers Howard Smith of Burnsdale, MN, Tony Smith, John Smith and James Smith all of Terre Haute, three sisters Rita Forney of Kaiowa, CO, Susie Miller and Barbara Wiech both of Aurora, CO three step grandchildren and other relatives.

There were no services or visitation. The family gathered at the residence of Mike Coyle and Tracy Bridgewater for a private memorial service at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, December 11, 2004.
